In December 2008 I must state that almost everything I wrote 3 years ago has turned obsolete.

Our computers are interconnected in a LAN. Two PCs are running under Linux (Kubuntu, Hardy Heron). Our laptops are connected to the LAN from time to time. A laser printer and an ink-jet colour-printer are accessed via a print server box. Since January 2008 we are coupled to the Internet via a broadband line (16000 kBit/s down, 1000 kBit/s up) that serves as well our voip-phones. Unfortunately we have lost the fax functionality when we changed the contract.

The sources of the present web pages have been generated using quanta by reference to the documentation of the "W3C" - Web Consortium. The pages have been tested with the browsers Netscape, Firefox and konqueror

The Midi file "Tristezza" sounds nasty? Well, may be you do not have KMidi running (which is a Timidity clone). And what about your midi patches? You should have the EAW-patches linked into your patch file directory of KMidi. - If midi files do not play at all: have a look at the German page! Install mozplugger and timidity - and firefox should do the work.
